I ran into this at the local Tractor Supply, one of their teaser products in the bins behind the registers.

It's an honest-to-goodness "one-hand" operated 3/8" drive ratchet, a quite unique design I have never seen before. The handle twists clockwise/anti-clockwise in the head to change direction--sort of difficult to describe but it works very well and seems to be a sturdy well-built wrench. The maker (unknown, just "Distributed by Tractor Supply") claims it is of Chrome Vanadium steel, judging by its weight and finished I feel it is.

It does not have an push-button socket/extension release, and the ball-detent spring is a bit soft (better for greasy hands), and I needed another 3/8" ratchet like I need another hole in my head but for $7.99 I had to have it. Have used it a couple times, convenient as heck, may be my "go-to" 3/8 ratchet going on...

Something I'd like to have (to add to the 1/4" drive collection); I'm headed "into town" (25 miles round trip) in a bit and will stop in to see if they've got one...

Yes, I one or two of those. They seem more useful in 1/4" drive, the bigger ones can be knuckle busters when you have to lean on them...
