    Hey all,

I'm trying to figure out the best way for me to secure two large plastic storage bins in my bed without a cargo divider or a ratcheting cargo bar. I have tons of various straps, but I just can't figure out what the best way to do this is. I can't use the bed rail tie downs because they're too high.

    Any suggestions?

    Screw/bolt them down?

    Bed extender?

    Add D-rings to the bed?

My DCSB has two cargo rings at the front of the bed (below the rails) - that's what I use.

If you don't want to buy anything then do a New Age Spiritual Dance and hope for the best? :bananadance:

Ya got pics of the bins in your bed? Rubber bed mat is a good start but if you don't already have one.....

    Duct Tape? Super glue?

In seriousness, where in the bed do you want them to sit?

I already tried that. unfortunately I didn't major in Interpretive Spiritual New Age Dance so I'm not qualified enough for it to work.

All the way in the back, they're currently held in with a cargo strap, but it sounds like an earthquake whenever I hit a bump.

Back as in against the tailgate?

Depending on what you're storing in them, you might not be able to avoid the noise... Buy an exercise mat (1/2 inch thickness) to put under them. That'll eat some of the bump they get. Then I'd run a cut about 6-7 inches up on the storage bins on each side, and run a tow strap through those, and tie it down on the corner ties on the bottom near the tailgate. Thats best case scenario as I can imagine it at my desk at work.

Ratchet straps from the rear D rings to the upper tie downs should hold a box against the tailgate
