It's amazing the amount of people who come here looking for justification of their ideas.

"Is is alright to trade because I got a scratch on my tailgate.."
"Is this a good deal on a trade..."
"I am getting rid of my Tacoma because problems..."
    and so on.

The truth is most of these guys have already convinced themselves that their reasoning is justified and are just looking for affirmation.

What I really find funny is the guy who came from A) Full size truck B) Sports car or C) Spent way too much money and overextended their finances come on here and try to convince others that, just because they want to get rid of their truck for whatever reason they dreamed up, others should agree and follow suit based on their warped logic.

If you don't like it, get rid of it.
If you have buyer's remorse, get rid of it.
If it's costing too much, get rid of it.
If you are not happy with it for whatever reason, get rid of it.

Don't come here and try to convince the forum you are doing what's right, just do what you want and move on.

Every computer mouse should have a taser built into it. Then if enough "shock'em" votes from other forum members are received the user will have severe pain introduced to his hand. That might cut down on some of what you're describing.

I am sure the 2018s will be just like what we have now, but its probably worth a couple months to see.

One small correction, the 3.5L V6 has a timing chain not a belt. Chain should last longer than a belt. Back to your question on to trade in or not, do what your heart desires (and you can afford). If you can go either way and still can't decide, than flip a coin. When I was younger I traded in every 2 years because I wanted something newer or different. Now that I am older I keep my vehicles longer. Looking back, I have no regrets on how long I kept past vehicles.i
