The Fumoto valve is good? The one @Maggot61 is talking about? It wouldn't later on down the road leak or become unserviceable?

 

He's talking about the valve for your Engine oil pan will still work. i haven't had any issue since i've installed it (been about 1yr now if not more). I wheel my truck pretty hard to, i'll take some pics of the one on my truck and send it to you later. (FYI i have a 2005 tacoma).

Sweet thanks brotha. Much appreaciated, like I said I need to start working on my truck myself. Until the free service is done with at the dealer. FYI guys I talked to the service manager at Crown he was super Kool said to bring it in tomorrow morning ASAP and they will take my truck in front of all the other vehicles. I told him it's unacceptable and he agreed didn't try to argue it.

 

Yes that valve is still good for our trucks oil pan,sorta. The valve hoes in the cap. Sometimes when trying to remove the drain bolt you will inadvertently remove the whole oil housing. So the valve is this to have so you don't have to mess with that bolt. Also you need a special wrench to remove the housing after it has drained. Oh and don't forget to remove the skid plate.

I'm not sure if the dealer is removing the skid plate because there is oil all over my skid plate where the housing sits under. And forgive me for not knowing much #NoobIsLife lol So that Fumoto valve is a definite buy? Also the special wrench to remove the housing is that something I can purchase online or at the dealer?

 

Wrench can be bought from either dealer or internet.

If you get that fumoto valve Ozzy remember to have a quality skid plate 3/16" first and not the stock thin tin foil plate because when you do hit the skid plate you're going to snap that fumoto valve right off

 

Good looking out but I don't think I'll get it until I have a lot of miles on the truck. I'll just properly complain to the dealer when they have the noob tech not tighten down the oil housing lol
