When you buy new wheels, do you buy 4 and leave the spare with the original rim? Or do you buy 5 wheels?? I know there is no right or wrong, just wondering what main consensus is. Never bought new wheels for a vehicle.

I bought 5 TRD Bronze Beadlocks when I did it, just thought it was the best to do in my situation as I put my spare on my Hitchgate

Well, I'd say it all depends... if you're going to go with bigger tires too, and your new wheel/tire combo won't be too big to fit in your spare location, I'd say get 5 and work them all into your tire rotation. Somebody correct my math if I'm wrong, but I believe that will slow your overall wear rate by 20%.
Not sure on your truck, but right now the spare is a different tire than the mains, right? If so, can't really work that into your rotation, so if you're not getting bigger tires, or at least a spare to match the mains, I wouldn't bother with a 5th new wheel to replace your spare...

If the spare is under the truck, I doubt much I would do it unless I had a plate over it. Afraid i might damage an expensive wheel if unprotected under there. Now if I had @unchained5150 set up, I likely would buy/use all 5 wheels and rotate.
