Severe Weather thread.

South Hills of Pittsburgh. You familiar?

 

Yeah. Wednesday it was a steady downpour for probably 30 to 45 mins. It was pretty crazy. Couple of those spots are notorious for flooding. Like by that Monroe. Usually when it rains like that they try to get as many cars on the lifts as possible. But I don't think anyone expected it to be as much rain as we got.

 

F that! I'm assuming humid too?

 

The Taco read 104* when i got in it. Right now it's 98* and 50% humidity. Heat Index of 110*. F(*K IT, I'm moving north.

 

Really enjoying today's weather. Currently 67° with a nice breeze. Supposed to go to 75°. Humidity is all but gone. After it being so hot and humid for the last couple weeks, this is a much needed break.

Im surprised I didn't see more posts about this but to see how bad this storm was just google "Great Flood of 2016"

A NorEaster hit the New Jersey coast today... no fishing for me this weekend.

 

Flying out of Little Rock, AR Friday afternoon we got to the runway then turned around and parked for almost an hour due to storms.

This was the view from inside the airport before they herded us onto the plane:

Storm looks like it'll make landfall with 120MPH winds. Talk of stalling, and either

• going back into the gulf and strengthening, then heading NE or
• going NE towards us

People are in a panic because the stores have run out of simple things such as water and bread. I'm sure fuel will be the next big one to go. Either way, we have our supplies, alcohol, and a plan.Now I just need to figure out which Hurricane bbq to go to this weekend.

 

if theres looting, grab me a brisket or 3!

 

One of my friends is going to start smoking his today to serve for tomorrow. He wants me to come over so we can do my snorkel.

 

damn good storm tactics. I dig it. snorkel may come in handy!

 

He's done about 5 installs, so he can do it from start to finish in under 3 hours.

 

yea I'd definitely want someone with me that's done it a few times. less fuck ups that way. well goodluck down that way bud. stay dry.

 

Anyone that's in the direct path? Evacuating?

 

The path may make its way to me. Guess I'll find out in a few days.
