I replace my canister and am still getting a P0446 CEL code. I recently had my frame replaced and I asked the dealer to check if any of the hoses were leaking. They said that I needed to replace a vacuum regulator valve. Does this sound right and if so, can someone give me a part number? I have an 2004 Taco base model with a 3.4L engine.
    Thanks,

Try replacing the gas cap if you haven't. My buddy taco threw the same code, replaced the cap, erase the code and haven't been on since last year.

It's the onboard recovery valve also known as ORVR valve. It's located on top of gas tank. Dealer probably forgot to connect a vacuum hose or something

Best thing to do is perform an EVAP smoke test.

Im curious what you find out.
I still have my warning code while having personally replaced almost all the components in my EGR system.

tw0leftskis, is the ORVR valve attached to the canister? Also, what does this valve do? Does it direct the gas fumes back into the cylinders to burn off? Thanks.

Ask @gunny1005 he works for Camelback Toyota and he'll get you the part number and the cheapest price around for an oem part. ;)
