Californians not happy with solar eclipse.

The solar eclipse has been know to the state of California to cause cancer.

$10 that the proposition 65 warning is printed on those glasses sold in Cali.

 

People love to hate Ca But still keep moving here. Lost Federal funds come from taxes which would stay in state instead, no loss there since the state rarely gets back what it pays out as some other states get a free ride. Freaks make the news but like anywhere else, most people just want to live a decent life.

 

I so hope that's a true story

 

That may be true. But that's not what the rest of the country is hearing.

 

The mayor of Imperial Beach has calculated that if you added up all the days that the local beaches have been closed during the last 10 years, it adds up to 3 years of closures for sewage runoff from Mexico - so much for those clean beach fun advertisements they spout.

 

I wish it were true but the roads tell a differen tale.

In my area of Ontario, Canada we had only 40% coverage of the sun (I'm pretty sure). My 10kw pv system went from 9kw production to 2.8kw in about 1.5 hours. A big hit. I wonder what the statistics are for California?

 

It's a long state. The effect was certainly more prominent in the north but I think the Bay Area was in the 75% zone but with the overcast skies it simply got a bit darker. Might as well cry every time the fog rolls in or a cloud drifts by. Some solar power gets used for AC. Less sun also means less need for AC.
