Did my 30k service today. Front and rear doffs and transfer case oil, engine oil and filter, spark plugs, rotated tires, greased drive shaft zerkes, and washed the engine bay.

All I can say is I really wish I had a garage. Or at least a paved driveway. Crawling around under the truck in the dirt gets old fast. However, there is no way in hell I could ever feel right about going to a shop to have it done unless I physically couldn't do it myself.

Hard to capture in a picture but I installed some Oznium flush mount bolts in the bottom of the mirrors for some courtesy lights. You can kind of see the shadow on the ground, but they're the perfect brightness for this and fade in and out with the dome light. Installing a 32" light bar in the lower valence tomorrow!

Successfully fixed my windshield kazoo today!

Also used it to get to this cave in the mountains I've been too scared to explore until now. The light is just from a flashlight, it was pitch black in there.

I just finished reading Child of God by Cormac McCarthy and there's a scene with a cave that gave me a full on panic attack.

    Thanks.

    https://duplicolor.com/product/wheel-coating

Graphite paint and gloss clear. Half a can of paint on each wheel face, along with half a can of clear on each wheel face - about 5 coats of each. I need to seal them once the paint is cured and they should be good to go.

My Tacoma saved my life and my daughter's life today!

Riding down the interstate at 75 mph and I see a line of cars about to merge on. So I move into the fast lane and keep on my way. Dumbass that just merged on the interstate decided he was going to go ahead and pass everybody by jumping into the fast lane... Right where my truck is! I laid on the horn and had to swerve into the grass median going ~70ish!!!

Truck got a little squirrely, and I had to do a little drifting, but she kept all 4 on the ground! I'm just glad the grass wasn't wet, it was flat, and there wasn't a guard rail!

Top it off the jackass didn't even slow down or stop!!!

The little one and I were pretty shaken up and she bumped her head on something in the backseat, but it could've been much worse! After avoiding the car, I thought the truck was going to flip when I hit the grass going so fast... Especially when the backend started kicking out!

Not that I saw... We got back on the road and stopped at the next exit and I checked the front suspension and tires. I didn't see anything that stood out.

I'm sure it probably got knocked out of alignment at the very least. And probably a few rock dings on the paint from getting slung up at 70mph.

I'm doing my F/R diff and transfer case oil and greasing the driveshaft tomorrow, so I'll check everything a little better then.
