I've been stoked on the new Rotiform SIX-OR wheels.

Over the last 3 years, there has been a dramatic shift at my work (Specialized Bicycles in Morgan Hill, CA) toward #VanLife... Im not joking when I say, that there are now 10+ people living at or around the building. Im happy to say, there are a few pretty cool trucks too.

On second look... I started worrying about the slides supporting all the weight. I replaced the main 28" slide with a 500lb version from Amazon. I'll let you know if they are any better than the original ones I had ordered.

Hettich Drawer Slide, Full Extension, 28", Heavy Duty, 500lb Capacity

Alright. More progress tonight. Finished the dual slide mechanism in the bed of the truck.

Bought 500lb rated slides for the main. MUCH better than the first try.

Progress. Skinned the left side storage and anchored it to the bed. This give me three storage areas 2x (9"w/16"h/30"L) and 1x (20"w/16"h/42.5"L). And should be more than enough to store sleeping material and camp gear.

Each of the boxes will also get an inset lock to help hold them closed on the trail and help with security while street parked in San Francisco.

Anyone have ideas for how to finish it? Carpet? Stain? Paint?

Well... we didn't stay in the truck during out hike of The Lost Coast, however, we did drive it to the start and sleep in it before and after... so This is still relevant content.

Girlfriend and I hiked the Lost Coast last weekend. A 25 mile 3 day / 2 night back backing trip along the northern California coast. While only a short distance... hiking in the sand for 3 days was a pretty big challenge.

Pics below. Holler if you have questions on the hike or Christine did a write up on how-to --> here

Instal of the dual battery was successful.

Needed a couple of extra bits I didn't originally buy.

The SPod runs with 8gauge wire and the Blue Sea isolator i originally purchased was... well, overkill. On recommendation from @Camp4x4, I bought a Battery Doctor because it allows you to manually override the bridge and connect the batteries in the event you kill it.
