It's raining down here like a cow pissing on a flat rock...and that's just Austin. Hope everyone from here to the rigs is ok.

Taking the dogs out to pee was a challenge. Had to end up walking my sweet little meanie over to a neighbor's yard and let her piss there. She loves pissing right by his yard. Dogs.

Think I'll go back to bed...

This is what I posted on the severe weather thread

Yesterday we had light bands of rain from the outer bands. I went to sleep as the intensity was increasing, along with the thunder and lightning. Totals for yesterday were .6"

The rains this morning seem to be heavier. My fiancée's hospital had enacted the weatherprotocol, so it looks like she's stuck at work until this blows over completely. Once this band stops, I'll take the dog out and see how it looks.

They're saying it'll soon stall, and then go back out to the gulf to restrenghten, and then make its way right to us.

    Yay!

Yeah. Go from cat 4, to tropical storm, and to a cat 1.

This is because of a high pressure coming from the North. Hurricanes will take the path of least resistance. So back to the ocean it goes.

And in case anyone is wondering, we still have all our utilities working.
