    Hi All,
I was wondering, I have a TRD sport and have read that the suspension on a TRD OR rides better then the stiffer sport suspension. If I were to purchase a used, low mileage OR set (rear shocks and front shocks with springs still attached) from someone who lifted or upgraded their OR, is it just bolt on? Remove the Sport suspension and install the OR one? I have changed shocks in past on my Frontier and Ford station wagon, but never any with the coils attached or struts. Also, do I need to change out the UCA also or can I use the existing ones?

    Thanks!

Should be a direct swap,I have the rear shocks if you are interested under 200 miles on them.

Thanks! I see alot of the complete sets for sale here on TW, but I live in Hawaii and the shipping here is a killer for the 50lbs it weighs. I was hoping to find someone selling it locally to me on Oahu so to save me in the shipping. Also, I just wanted to be sure it was a direct swap before attempting it. Anyone else tried to do this?

Yep, plenty do this. I'm actually going to do it, if a set pops up local to me. When I finally decided to take this route, I looked in the parts section .... just had missed two sets. Nothing in my area since.

No direct swap only matter if your a 5 lug but the sport is 6 so no issue leaf springs are the same.

A little, the front end will be lighter ... so you may get some lift out of it. A 4cyl access cab 4x2 will see about 1" lift, IIRC. Other configurations will vary slightly.

Also, there are no 5 lugs suspensions for 3rd gen.

Thanks. I check out craigslist every several hours to check on any updates, but I havnt seen any OR suspension parts in awhile. I may do a WTB post once I get more info on how to do this. I do see the occasional unicorn of a person wanting to trade their sport scooped hood for a non-scooped hood though......

I have a TRD sport V6 DC, no 5 lugs.

I made this swap on my DCSB TRD Sport, and it made a noticeable improvement in the ride. Easy swap to do.

If I have a double cab, can I use the shocks out of an access cab also?

I was looking at the Bilsteins coilovers and shocks off of a 2016 ORDC i just picked up but it isnt marked which one is the driver or pass side. I dont think the rears make a difference, but i think the fronts may. One has red and blue dots the other has red and green dots on the coils. I have attached a photo of the fronts. Does anyone know which is which? Thanks.IMG_4466.jpg
