I'm alive y'all! In case anyone was wondering. Hope everyone is good in Austin.

 

Hey! It's a little dampish up here, so y'all got to be soaked. Have you found high ground?

 

Apparently my house is high ground. I've got water in ditches but it's draining rapidly between storms and even when the sky opened up earlier I only had a little standing water for about 30 minutes in my side yard where it allows down to the neighbor's house. My mom is about 10 minutes closer to Galveston than me and she has seen her road continuously flood and recede over and over. So far none of it has made it inside any homes and they're hoping it stays that way.

 

Where else can you have in the same week,eclipse,drought,burn ban,tornadoes,earthquakes,hurricane,nowhere else but Texas. It's a whole other country

 

I'm still alive. Been raining non-stop since last night. Still loving the camera on my Galaxy S8+.
