so what are you guys doing for the emergency brake cables that mount to the Dakar packs? I put the brackets back where they go and the cable was rubbing the pack bracket I bent the cable holder to keep it from touching but when I flex the rear the cable gets really tight. I'm worried about breaking the cable.

Two parts with some fuel line in between. You can swap mine to yours if you have time. Mine is in the bed cubby on the driver side

Only problem with your design is that you can only view the front camera while in reverse. you need the rear anytime camera mod, then I used a dpdt switch to toggle between rear and forward cameras, then I installed a video selector box to give me 4 inputs. The cameras, wires, conectors, and switches were about $90ish.

I used a switch instead of a relay because of the low draw a camera has. A relay just adds complexity and another point of failure.

I put the Tacoma to work today!

    brought home the new mower

    21078563_1378001775654427_75318456296576_7b56752c036830ff1cf15ad071d56fee4c43e766.jpg

accidentally killed the battery on said mower ***doh***:homer:

so I jump started the battery w/ my truck...

then I cut down a small tree in my front yard (about 9" diameter) and got 99% through it and then hooked up a tow rope and pulled it over w/ the truck....backed it up and drove it to my wood pile...

then i put the rack back on!

it was a solid "Tacoma" day

gonna finish some minor painting, finish up some weed eating around the house

and then hopefully install my bed stiffeners!

also ordered my antenna, spring, tires, and coax cable today!

also ordered some 5000k HID replacement bulbs since I'm not really happy w/ the amount of "blue" in the 6000k

anyone want a KBVoodoo tall rack? I'm tossing around the idea of selling mine

$600 .... it will come w/ a hi lift mount and the brackets that hold 4 quick fists for mounting 2 tools. (QF not included)

That's not true. I used a two pole relay in my design. It would work anytime.

Finally got my cali raised ditch light side shooters in and installed on my 2014 dcsb sport. Brackets are stout, already painted, and have good hardware. Pretty straight forward install if you watch the video as directions from the box are ok but black and white and not color pics. Fairly easy to adjust up and down and size to side for desired setup and light projection. Hard ware on actual lights and mount could be better and I might find some and replace. Actual lights are well made and look great. The connections are clean and wiring harness was more than adequate with plenty of length to adjust for routing. I got the round single push button harness which I will probably switch out the button for the more OEM version for a cleaner look.

The light output is great and really covers a lot of area to the front and sides and has a nice cutoff to the right and left of mirrors. I also got the rigid side shooter amber cover for fog and better visibility in certain conditions. Hopefully cali raised comes out with covers for these soon that fit a little better.

Overall I'm very happy with them so far. We will see how they do in normal daily driving conditions and then for offroad when I can get out more.
