In 1970 that was true. Now? No. The dealer usually waxes your truck before you take it home. Paints since the 90's cure quickly.

Thanks. clicked on your oil link. I thought the Toyota guy was ignorant when he said 10k for the oil change. Sure enough 10k it is. Dealer does it for first 2 years too, so I guess I will let them. Unfortunately I will be lucky to get 2 changes out of them, I dont drive as many miles as I would like.

We all make mistakes. I had a Ford Explorer (roll over special), that I traded in before one year of ownership. At least you now have what you want. I use Ultimate Liquid Wax. It's a synthetic. Gave my Taco 2 coats when I got it home. It doesn't leave a residue on any plastic or trim.

I'm from the mt. sinai area, so smiths point is the largest/closest, though cedar point is excellent in the off-season and worth the trip east at least a few times.

You could get the 'green key card', which enables you to get the suffolk county beach pass, anytime of the year.
But the beach pass expires at the end of the year, no matter what month you get it.

congrats life is short. Forget about the loss, money is replaceable. I made a similar mistake myself a few months back but that's a whole story by itself.

Congrats! Last year, I had a Black 2013 TRD OR and traded it for a Black 2016 Limited. Mild stare from the wife....

LOL. My wife doesn't trust me that I told her this is it. This is my ten plus year truck. You must be loving that limited interior. It looks awesome. I would have gone that route but there were no Inferno ones here and I love this color.

O.K. people big time mods coming right at you. Think I am ready for Moab. This thing is awesome, magnetic ball that comes with disks that you stick to your phone case and just place your phone on it. It never falls off. Really a very good $25 bucks at Amazon.

And there is this quite expensive thing. Seems well built and fits perfect, have to watch the Youtube of the install. Makes it pretty easy. Just want to be able to keep things dry if they are in there. Loving this truck so far. Also got the $65 bed mat from Amazon fits well and seems heavy duty.
