I did mine a few years ago. Held up well. Had to touch them up this past year. Believe it or not, instead of taking old dip off and taping off and reapplying, I sprayed some of the dip in a cup and used a brush to touch up. Came out great.

Someone else I think in another thread I saw suggested going around the edges of the badges with a tooth pick to separate the plasti dip and then peel it off. But I can't say for sure haven't done it yet but that's what I was going to try.

Nah you dont have to do that. Just tape off a half inch around the logo. Spray, start with thin coats. A final heavy coat, then peel.

So when you peel it off then what keeps it from peeling off the emblems

Since the emblems sit ever so slightly off the panel, any connection to the dip between panel and emblem is so thin it just tears... Kinda like a perforation on a piece of paper, except easier.

I guess that does make sense the emblems will have a little bit of space between them and the truck. I've watched videos of it done but never really thought about it. It makes sense now that you say that though, thanks.

    It's called magic.

The overspray doesnt actually connect to the emblem, its like two separate sheets. Difficult to describe until you actually give it a shot.

How did you do the grill? Did you remove it from the truck or spray it in place?

    Remove them altogether.
Truck looks so much better without them.
Makes my yearly polish much easier
