I recently added another Tacoma to the garage. I picked up a used 2008 Tacoma 4x4 SR5 that apparently the previous owner traded in on a 2017 Tacoma TRD. Just curious if the previous owner is on here because I have some questions about the truck. I picked up the truck at Venice Toyota.

Love the single cabs. What does a single cab 4x4 go for love to buy one and start a build.

I'd like to do a Satoshi and find a topper for it. Made this mock up in Photoshop.

I know! Also it's a 1 owner truck that was owned by an older gentleman. So it was well taken care of and not a scratch, tear, stain on it :D

It has some sort of spacer/ block lift. It seems to be 2" or 3" since it's running 265/70R16 Tires. Ride quality is good so I'll probably leave it be. I like how it sits currently. I'll have to take a pic of the spacer so you investigators can tell me the brand.

You can run a spacer lift but honestly I wouldn't recommend it. I would do a AAL in the rear with Bilsteins and adjustable 5100's in the front. This is a substantial setup that is relatively inexpensive. It will also improve your ride quality. The 265 70 16 you can run on a stock Tacoma.

When I have to do shocks I'll do the Bilsteins. Shocks seem pretty new.

Like the truck. The wheels, not so much.

Not a huge fan either. They seem to be 1st gen Tacoma Enkei Wheels. I'm looking for a different set of 16"s eventually.

They look good to me an look like 4 runner rims to me.
At least they have as many spokes as they do lugs, that always drives me nuts to see a 5 or 7 spoked aluminum rim with 6 lugnuts. :annoyed:

I don't mind them because they're at least alloy wheels over steel wheels. But when I run these tires into the ground I'll look for some 2016+ TRD Offroad takeoffs. I really like the new TRD Offroad wheels.
