    whats up guys- I just joined the forum and thought i'd say hi. I live in the SF east bay, Walnut Creek area. Just bought myself a Quicksand 2017 Toyota Tacoma TRD sport last week. Can't wait to mess with this rig- I am in my 40's, have a wife, and 4 kids. I'm a veteran, enjoy walks through nature, back rubs, barbeque, shooting things, baseball games, watching the warriors destroy other teams, belittling my dogs, surfing, alpine climbing, annoying my neighbors, getting away from society, and daydreaming.
    Hopefully I can contribute to this forum in one way or another!
    if there's any other Tacos around me, holler!

    Congratulation John and welcome to TW. I'm new to Toyota, having come over from the dark side (F-150s) just last Friday. I love, love, love my new Taco.

    The Quicksand is not my most favourite colour. However, I saw one recently with a black TRD Pro grill, black fender flares and skid plate, and blacked out chrome badging. It looked killer. So much so, I would have purchased a Quicksand but (personally) couldn't justify the cost of the blacked-out mods when there was a Magnetic Grey sitting right in front of me.

    Jules, yeah i plan to black out the truck via 3M duplicolor wrap paint. i've heard really good reviews about doing it that way, and @ $12 a can, you can't go wrong. if it sucks, just peel it off! I look forward to building this truck up to suit my purposes- I think the Quicksand color immediately became my favorite due to my time in the military and desert ops. I like the tactical look of it alot- i may hate it in a few years tho lol. if that happens you'll see it in the used section and i'll get a TRD pro 6 speed manual in white next ;)
