Picked up an 02 D-Cab TRD Tacoma for the wife. Currently has a fairly new 6inch Fabtech lift on it. I got it for a screaming price due to some issues it has.

147,000 on the clock on the 5VZ-FE

    The Bad:
-significant oil leak up front. Best guess without diving into it, crank seal, oil pump seal. Might as well replace the timing belt while I am in there.
-Turn the headlights on...horn honks repetitively, my guess is something to do with aftermarket remote start or short in the column
-Under hard braking the front right caliper locks up and tire skids until I put the vehicle in reverse. Already pulled the caliper and cleaned it all up and reassembled, no uneven wear on the pads.
-4WD light does not come on (I think the PO did something a lil shady here) 4wd does not engage, but I can hear the actuator under the truck
-2 inch wheel spacers. I personally do not like wheel spacers on vehicles with ball joints. They have to go and new wheels with correct spacing ordered

    The Good:
It cleans up very nice, its all there.
    It s a Toyota Tacoma
    It tracks straight
    Shifts good
engine is very peppy for 15 years old
    New Fabtech 6inch lift
    Wife likes it <---most important

Future Plans: I wish Demello still made bumpers for this still... ARB front bumper (I have a Warn winch already for it), Trail Geat Sliders and rear bumper ( I will modify both of these somewhat)

Wifes truck so Mall status for this one.

Wife currently drives her 2003 T4R that I just completely went through. Rebuilt 1GR-FE, Bilsteins on all corners blah blah blah..grocery getter.

I Daily / wheel my 1996 FZJ80, Leather and factory locked with Slee Lift, ARB Bumper, 4x4labs sliders and rear bumper

My Current build (over last 3 years) is my 1971 FJ40 ARB lockers front and rear in FJ60 axles. SUA up front with 3-link in the rear. 01 5.3 LM7/TH350 to 86 FJ60 twin sticked FJ60 t-case with cable shifters..

oh, name is Chris. Retired Army, 3 kids living in the interior of Alaska....where all of the shipping on the parts I need costs as much as the parts themselves.

Hardest part for me right now is putting together a parts list for the front seals and everything that could/should be replaced while I have the timing cover off. I used to have a link saved where I could get OEM Toyota parts shipped, but I misplaced it. Looking through the FAQ I am surprised I do not see a thread for timing belt replacement as well as oil pump and front main seal replacements and all the bits it entails.
