Welcome to my build thread. I decided to make this so I could have a log of things done to my truck in hopes of looking back at this and realizing where most of my money went... :smash:

    Location: Phoenix Arizona

Little backstory: I started messing with imports during and after high school. Couple civic's, couple integra's, and a couple 240sx's all which taught me valuable automotive and life lessons.
Up to me getting the Tacoma I was daily driving my Acura Integra and I had my 05 Yamaha R6 for fun. I was pretty content with the two until I starting getting more into this camping hobby of mine. I started to realize I would need something capable of going off road and the only pick up truck I was interested in was of course a Tacoma. I was holding off from the idea of getting one because I wanted to save some more money but then I got into my motorcycle accident causing my R6 to be totaled and allowed me to recoup the money I spent on it (full coverage FTW).[IMG]

I searched for months with the idea of getting a 2nd gen 4x4 DCSB in red, blue, or grey. I realized my budget wouldn't allow me to get exactly what I wanted in the condition I demanded. I then found a 2005 Radiant Red DCSB TRD sport edition with tow package in great condition. It had about 121,000 miles on it which was too crazy for an 05 and had little imperfections I knew I could fix later on. I took a L with not getting a 4x4 but I plan on getting one later in the future when I'm a bit more finally stable.

Here's the first day I saw her:

Couple weeks later I found out the capabilities of being 2WD, I got stuck pretty good. The E-locker helps some but I was practically laying frame rails and the truck was not getting out without some help. I was quite impressed though, prior to it being stuck I was moving a long just fine in muddy/snowy terrain. It wasn't until I stopped on what seemed to be firm dirt but boy was I wrong. Hours of digging later got her out and went on with the trip.

I was determined in changing these stock wheels and after researching I desperately needed some SCS Ray 10's in my life. I waited for the next release, set up alarms and timers so I wouldn't miss the opportunity of getting them. The time comes to buy them and within two minutes they sell out... :rain: Thankfully Alex at Micheal Toyota of Bellevue saw my comment I posted on the SCS photo and sent me a DM advising me he had some in stock. Next day I put the order in for 5 16x8.5 SCS Ray 10's. Less than a week later they show up.

I also bought a used MBRP turn down exausht off Craiglist for about 100 Shmeckles. I dont have any photos of it right now but it's like this but dirty af now.

    A trip to Mexico later

Went up to Mogollon Rim, AZ for little camping trip

After months of stalking TW, Craigslist, and Offer up I found a rack for a reasonable price on here

Also, before getting my bed rack, who ever painted the fender flairs didn't seem to use a good adhesive paint promoter and after some camping trips and rain the paint started to chip away. Went to my local automotive paint shop and they mixed me a can of arosol paint that would do the job.
Here's some photos of the process
