Wondering if we have many members on here from Kamloops? If so do we think it possible to get a meet up / intro trail run in someday? I'm only slightly better than stock [added some KO2s] for now, but looking to explore the area extensively as I build up the truck.

I'm in Salmon Arm area. Don't get out much these days, we're building a house. Lots of amazing trails out this way ... if they weren't closed due to the fires. :canada:

Just passed through your neck of the woods today. Family road trip to Edmonton (have some family there) to get out of the smoke for a week. I'll shoot you a Pm if we stop in next time.

I'm in Edmonton! I'm trying to figure out how to get any decent accessories without paying an arm and a leg for shipping and currency conversion.

Cochrane Toyota and The GearShop out of Calgary are a good start. Also 4wheelparts carries a lot of the big name branded stuff you might want, they are basically the Wal-Mart of the off road world in both the positive and negative way.

The only real way to skirt the shipping charges is to have things sent to a border storage and then go pick them up yourself. Most of the "customs" charges shipping companies come up with aren't duties or taxes. They are fees the company charges for the 30 seconds of paperwork it takes to import something. By not shipping across the border all you'll owe coming back across is GST for American made goods.

    A 1st gen, I hope :boink:

I was in the '50 during the fires this year. So I'm now familiar with your neck of the woods. Never been north of Kamloops otherwise.

I'm also in the loops. 2007 TRD OR. Stock except for 5100s, some PIAA bulbs, and some Goodyear Wrangler Adventures. I previously ran the old BFG AT's and also Duratrac's, but I wasn't getting off road enough to validate the AT's, so sadly, I went back to a civilian tire... does the job though. I've been towing my travel trailer for three years but just got an RTT to try and get away from people just like me, towing trailers lol. I love taking the TT most of the time, but I'd like to get to some more remote off grid camping spots.

I'm in Kamloops as well, ordered the 2015 TRD Pro suspension for $550 USD (instead of the $1700USD Toyota wanted a month ago) this week to give it a try, getting it shipped to Sumas and pick it up on a road trip. Been doing a fair amount of backroad exploring around here and the Lillooet/Whistler area, did Banff to Montana on the divide route, plan on finishing the rest this summer I hope.

Let us know how that suspension works out! At that price I might order it and shelf it for my next truck!

Yeah, it seems like a great price to have 6112/5160 level suspension. Its not adjustable but 2 inches of lift or around that is all I'm looking for

I'm loving the 5100s, and since they are basically six months old on a truck that is nearing 300k, the pro suspension will have to wait for the next build. I'll have to throw in the AAL though as I tow, and like it level when doing so. Look forward to hearing about it!

Ill let you know how it goes for sure, I had Sportsman in town do my 5100s and the Icon AAL in the spring. I'll be looking to sell my almost new 5100s and Eibach coils for a good price, if you have a buddy looking to level their truck.

I just traded in my 98 Duramax at the Salmon Arm Toyota dealship and got an 06vTacoma double cab shortbox with 144,000 kms, 6 speed bone stock in great shape. It's getting a 3" lift with Bilstiens and rest of goodies, Nitto Grapplers and rims. Nothing crazy but it should be a nice mix of daily driver and trail capabilities. I know the guys at Canadian Image Customs (CIC) so I'm getting a great price.

I used to have an 81 then an 85 back in the day and would wheel around the Fraser Valley. I've never been out (besides dirt biking and camping) in the Okanagan so I'm pumped to go exploring.
