Are they offering up any group buy deal with so many orders? What's estimated shipping at now?

Didn't CBI buy out Prinsu designs roof racks as well? Might be interested depending on what shipping would look like.

Putting a feeler out there. Would anyone like to plan for a group order in 2019? Gives us plenty of time to save the monies, get people in on it, and let CBI have a heads up. I'd love to get the high clearance swing out bumper, but won't be ready for that particular part until next year.

Maybe a Prinsu cabrack and possibly a bedrack. Depends on the deal they offer, if these parts are even considered.

I wouldn't see why not. From what I understand the racks are made at their Idaho Falls location like everything else. The only thing I would be worries about is the coating. I'd get the bumper w/o the powder coating like I did for my other CBI stuff.

Do you think the Prinsu racks would be shipped in separate boxes and placed on the pallet, or just thrown in with the other parts that could cause damage?

Also, from my experience, powdering coating is reasonable when the fabricators powder coat and ship. They usually have a shop that does it for them at a discount. The small dings that may or may not happen are worth it in my view.

Did you paint your bumper yourself or did you have a local shop powder coat (or paint)? I can't remember. If you had a local shop paint/powder, what was the price difference between them and CBI powder coating?

When I was in the market, I considered local powder coating and found that it was actually more expensive And not having to find a place to sand/paint or wait to have them painted or powder coated is a huge plus in itself. I've seen/heard a few guys that have painted themselves...takes a while to do it right. I rattled canned most of my skids; but had my bumpers, IFS skid, and sliders powder coated. Well worth it.

When I got my Prinsu rack it came in it's own box, and it was actually not that expensive to ship out here as it did not come on a pallet or anything. I really doubt you'd need to jump in on a group buy honestly.

It depends on how they get it done. I know CBI gets their armor done by a shop local to them, but it's just a single stage powder coat so it chips really easily. I opted to get all my armor bare metal and just have them done here. It was a little more expensive, but worth it considering it was a complete job. Especially if you consider everything being stacked on top of each other. That metal is heavy and is going to bounce around. It would be a shame to have your coat get messed up on the shipping and just have to pay the extra money to get it redone.

I mentioned in a previous post that I wouldn't be able to do anything until 2019. All that remains for me to get from them is the rear swing out bumper, but that's a little bit down the road.

Rahjah. I guess I’ll be waiting unless another deal or group buy happens before 2019.

How much of a discount is a "small discount", and how many orders do we need to gather?

I can get 5% right off the back. Depending on a decent amount of orders, i can get 10% off.

2019 was my goal for the high clearance bumper w/swing out, but if I go with the overland rack instead for now I might be able to swing doing it later this year. Uuuuugh, decisions :annoyed:
