Interesting. I didn't know Iron man tents even still existed in the US. Or is that just an example. What brand tents are being rented?

 

I'm at the airport right now and it is eerily quiet. The hurricane in Texas must be having a big impact on air travel right now. I'd say there is about a third of the people I am used to seeing.

 

I should start renting out my trailer

I tried to go last weekend but Haley(3 month old) didn't slept well Friday night and was cranky all day Saturday so we decided not to go

Anybody know where to buy CB radios outside of normal work hours? I'm looking for a

Uniden pro520xl, but it seems that most places that would sell it are open when I'm working (or, "working"). Yes, I will eventually jump to HAM but right now I'm trying to get a smaller solution than what I have currently (doesn't really fit anywhere comfortably) in case I do something in the woods this weekend. I checked Amazon, but for some reason they're all coming up higher than MSRP. Add in short-term shipping and then I end up ripping myself off which wouldn't be the first time.

Truck stop. Though depending on which one you may end up paying just as much. I'm not sure which MSRP you're looking at (Uniden direct at $60?), but I see a couple of sellers on Amazon at around or below that. Home Depot of all places has it at $47 (ship to store free only, not carried in stores). I've seen them from anywhere between $50 and $90 at truck stops and radio shops.
