    A Jeep Loaner...That's a first, I've heard anyways.

    I haven't had any contact with my dealer since The Repo. What I was told was it'll take about 4 weeks just to get the frame in the dealer. And at the time there was no sign of backorders.
    I'm gonna go up this weekend to put a windshield cover in so the sun doesn't bake my shit and start her up to keep everything sort of going. I'm expecting some sort of update from them when I show up so I'll keep ya posted.

    1800 miles on the loaner since 8-4-17

    The Jeep Patriot comes from Enterprise Rental. One of the service advisors recommended that I come by once a month or so to start it up, keep the battery up and drive it around the parking lot a bit to shake of the rust on the brake rotors. I'm going to assume that there will be some stuff they will recommend replacing while the truck is apart, stuff not covered under the recall. Like the shock absorbers and the muffler that does have a small hole in it, it will be the time to get these things done. Things like brackets and hangers I expect Toyota to cover.

    what about the fact that the repairs and rental costs are worth more then the Kelly blue book value of your truck???

    Wondering if they are going to offer to buy back the truck rather than spend all that money to repair it. But if they do go ahead and repair it will my truck be worth more when they are done.
    Just for laughs I searched the Boston Craigslist for Tacoma's for sale and found about 8 of them saying the frame has been replaced. Some of them with some outrageous price tags.

    I'm guessing 20k is about what it'll cost for mine also. Once they start taking that thing apart theres no telling what's gonna break.

    @Rusty Taco I have figured it up and at 33/day rental it's about $1000/month.
    The frame is bout $5000. And 40 hours of labor at $90-110/hour. Add in broken parts during replacement and labor to replace them also and we're well above my KBB.

    Works kept me so damn busy I still haven't been able to get up to the dealer while they're open to get y'all an update on my end...

    I loved having a rental for work. It's was like winning the grand prize as I work in the woods and I had some fun. I had a pro 4x loaded frontier for a little over a month. Lol until the muffler fell off 4 or 5 times. It was a nice truck. Tough as well.

    I was asked to post in here, so here we go. i go in tomorrow for the frame inspection, based off of what im reading in the documentation this should be enough for it to fail and require a replacement. When i called my dealer they said they had never heard of it, but well see. Im gonna print and take all of the paperwork with me, hopefully that will convince them.

    @Gaunt596
    Do you have the Email that was distributed to Dealers from Toyota Corporate explaining the Frame Replacement/Inspection Program? It's a very good piece of information to take along with you, also.
