    Mainly highway, but I did a little off-roading to get to some of the places we wanted to go to.

    About 5000 miles this past summer...

    Columbus, OH --> Crested Butte, CO --> Park City, UT --> Richland, WA --> Lewiston, ID --> Missoula, MT --> Helena, MT --> Cheyenne, WY --> back to Columbus

    Not a single problem with the truck apart from the endless struggle to keep the black color somewhat clean....

    Within 6 months of buying the thing, I drove from SW Louisiana to SE Massachusetts, to El Paso, TX to Anchorage, AK. Aprox 8000 miles.

    All completely stock with about 1K pounds of stuff in the back, I tossed some helper springs on in Mass.

    When I went to pick it up I had to drive it 400 miles back home which was nice for getting acquainted with my new truck.

    About 600 miles.

    I haven't taken any long road trips since I got into an epic car wreck on a 2,000 mile drive.

    I just drove from Los Angeles into Oregon to Washington State. Then thru Idaho into Utah, an edge of Arizona, through Nevada and back to LA. Hit a lot of parks, backroads and even some offroad along the way. About 4,300 miles total.

    Saw some family, checked on some family property and crammed in some sightseeing in between. The trip back was a mini vacation to hit Moab and see Utah's parks.

    I did a 5,000-mile(ish) road trip in June. Girlfriend earned her Master's degree in Chicago (we did long distance for two years), so I drove up to Chicago to pick her up. I left on June 16 and returned on June 29. Loved every second of it. Truck held up like a champ despite a a loaded dresser in the back and some wicked wind in the Arizona and California deserts.

    Went from California -> Utah -> Colorado -> Nebraska -> Illinois -> Wisconsin -> Minnesota -> South Dakota -> Wyoming -> Colorado -> Arizona -> California.

    Devils Tower and Mount Rushmore were incredible. Already itching to get back on the open road.

    Make sure you take the time to hit up Old Fall River Road. It's a one way dirt road that takes you up to the Alpine Visitor's Center. Starts in Rocky Mtn National Park, and takes maybe 2 hours to get up, see the center, and take the highway back. Great mountain vistas with a good chance of seeing elk and maybe sheep/moose.
