Dirt king heimed uniballs. Strongest parts, ultimate adjustability, cheapest uca are 450, most expensive icon billet about a thousand. Buy once cry once cause if 500 breaks the bank you should just put that away for gas, maint, insurance, registration and keep your truck stock.

With the Maxtrac spindles I do feel better knowing the uca is fully fabricated hand welded steel versus, bent barstock with off angle welds and a bolt where there should be a solid mount. Keep in mind I'm in socal so rust is not a biggie. I work hard and only hit the trails once a month in my prerunner so I'm trying to have fun and get my adrenaline pumping which may induce more stress than crawling or mudding, I have never broken an SPC style arm but the way my truck is upgraded now it would be the weak point if it were that style.

I believe Dirt King and Total Chaos make stock length LCAs.

Yea , I was looking at their site ( Total Chaos ) . I think I should just give them a call and ask what I should do . I have their UCAs and bilstein 6112s now . My LCAs are looking crusty . :(

For $1900 I can think of a bunch of better ways to spend money on my truck. The stock LCAs are pretty stout and aren't a limiting factor for most Tacoma drivers. I ran a Duralast LCA for about a week while I replaced a ball joint and it seemed like a decent product.

Kind of an older thread but which set gives you the most in adjustment for camber/caster?

SPCs are the only ones to my knowledge that allow you to adjust the caster/camber to your own desired setting. Other aftermarket UCAs have more caster built into them but not adjustable.

Nothing major. -3rd Gen OR suspension swap. -Trailer light plug relocation.
Since it looks like this thread is kind of being revived over got a UCA question. I just found out I have a bad ball joint and the tire shop said it's easier to just replace the UCA's than the ball joint itself. I'm currently running stock hight and I plan on doing a 2" lift in the future but it would be a couple years from now. Would installing a beefier UCA now a) even work? b) bee a good way to spread out the cost of the lift?

Yeah you can install aftermarket UCAs before a lift, won't hurt anything. Most will give you additional caster but that's not a bad thing at stock height, and when you do lift the truck you'll be better off with the UCAs already upgraded

Cool thanks! I'm still trying to do some research on what I'll want and will fit my needs over all.

Is it possible to have uca's on stock suspension that are meant for a 2-3 inch lift ? Just want to start putting pieces together before lifting and it would be nice to know if I can go back to factory height if needed

yes that is fine. Your post is #75, look at #73. The issue you may run into is now the alignment is a bit off while you wait for your lift to be installed. I would say just wait and do it all at once with an alignment and call it a day.

I changed the air freshener to a new one, one time.
Tc offers their ucas with adjustable Heims to fine tune your alignment. I have the normal ucas from them and wish I woulda got the heims
