    It might be worth your time to drop the spare, swap it in, and then switch it back out. Better to learn in your own driveway/parking lot rather than somewhere less than desirable.

    Well yea, I was serious. My beef was about the rubber straps though, after burning hands and knees on pavement. It turns out the jack had been slightly extended so it wouldn't rattle, but made it unclear where the rubber strap was actually attached. One more moment of frustration while changing a second blown out trailer tire.

    Good times.
