I decided to start this thread to keep track of the mods I have done.

Here is how the truck currently sits:IMG_20171220_065728090.jpg

I bought the truck in September of 2016. 2017 trd sport 4x4. I have always had Tacoma's (95.5 in high school-same color as the current 95.5, 2005 and a 2012), so now that I had the opportunity to buy my first new one, I took it. You will prob see my 95.5 in the background of a lot of my pictures.

My goal for this truck was to have it set up for 2 things. 1) my DD 2) hunting trips.

Here is the truck the day I brought it home.
    Screenshot_20160916-170359.jpg

I am from Charleston, but I work in Charlotte. I still make frequent trips home where I have to do work around my parents and grandparents house's. I needed someway to hide/keep my tools dry. I went with the lund genesis elite as a temporary solution. It got the job done but the fit was far from perfect.
    Screenshot_20161026-203511.jpg

Next on the list was the seats. I have always wanted leather in a Taco, but not willing to spend the extra $$$ to make it happen. I elected to go with Clazzio. I am very happy with my decision.
    20161212_133250.jpg

Tires were kinda an impromptu thing. I came across the falken wild peak at3's for less than $300 shipped to my door after discounts and rebates. I decided to give them a shot. They did great for about 10k miles but then they started to wear unevenly. Discount tire swapped them out for some K02s for a total of $250 out of pocket. Then I got a deal on the st maxxs, so I switched again.

A friend of mine had purchased a bilstien lift for his 2014 taco, but sold it before putting it on. I added the OME 887s and decided to throw it on my truck.
    20170511_185918.jpg 20170511_185940[1].jpg 20170511_190034.jpg

I got what I thought was a decent deal on a leer 100R. It is the base camper but it gets the job done. I was not willing to pay more at this point in life for the auto locking feature.
    20170602_165115.jpg 20170707_160038.jpg 20170602_190434.jpg

The pics are kinda deceiving but the camper top completely flattened the wheelers AAL that came with the 5100s I bought from my friend. I added 2 inch maxtrac to temporarily remove the bro lean :crapstorm:

    20170707_175206.jpg

A few minor things mods that have made a large impact in my opinion, are the vinals. I got the bedside decals from cboy808. I got the door sill, tailgate, AJT key fob insert and the leer logo replacement from rrentrop. Huge shout out to @rrentrop. fantastic customer service and just over all nice guy.

    Furture mods:

    UCA's.

    Hidden winch

Any comments, thought, feedback is welcomed. Thanks for viewing!!

Idk why I'm updating this because I'm the only one in here lol.

Anyway, I pulled the trigger on all pro expedition leaf pack and icon 2.0 rear shocks. Getting rid of the rear blocks :bananadance:

Does your truck have a pin stripe on either side from the very front all the way to the back? I haven't seen that on any stock silver taco's here. Mine's an MGM so it won't show ever.
Secondly, Did you paint your rear wheels hub with a black paint can? Can't tell well from the picture above. Last time when I removed my wheels, I saw my rear hub's have a fine rust coating on it. ~bacon_st

Yes, it does have the pin stripe. The dealer put the stripe on there. I know some people hate the stripe, but I like it.

No, I didn't paint the hubs. I didn't notice any rust. I will pay a little more attention next time I have the rear wheels off. Which will hopefully be in the next week or so, when my new rear suspension set up.

Great looking 3rd gen! I really like the look of the grille now that you changed the color scheme... I would vote you don't even need the BAMF grille (although you can't go wrong with their stuff).

Currently I have 265/70/17, but that will be changing by the end of the week. I could never get the ko2s to balance. Tried 4 different shops (2 attempts at road force). So I'm going to 255/80 stt max.

Nice well atleast i know the 265/70 will fit ok with the 2” lift until i wear them out orobably one more year and go to 285’s. I got nitto grapplers balanced and alogned only once In 3 years never any issue. My dad has the general red tires their crap he cant get them to balance either
