Can i sue Toyota in small claims?

Now you're talking over a million dollars, and although small still to them; as mentioned before, it assumes fault for all paint chips on all Camry's sold.

I still say go for it and post the results! I'm anxious to see what happens.

 

They will just appeal and drag it along until you are broke. I'm sure they have lawyers working for free on small claims that are looking to move up and will take on the extra case loads.

 

Believe me it's not about the money for Toyota, they are not going to admit to any wrong doing. Could it be manufacturing defect.. sure, but the burden of proof is on you.
Toyota has offices and lawyers all over the country, don't believe it's a big deal for them in small claims court. They been through massive frame recalls, exploding air bags, stuck gas pedals with cars out of control. Do you really think they will sweat a 4 thousand dollar paint job? This is a Hugh corporation worth over 200 billion dollars.
