Ok so I've been doing a bit of reading. I ordered a set of SR8s and I'm about to purchase an ICON stage 4 setup. I plan on achieving a 2.5" lift and I wanted to go with BFG All Terrain T/A in 285/75/r16, but I've noticed that people are getting bad rubbing issues with similar setups due to the offset. Can I just remove some material within the wheel well to prevent this or just go with a smaller tire? There are so many possible setups so I just wanted to get some recommendations before I commit to a tire.

I had 2.5 lift with same tire size on a 2nd gen, just slightly trimmed the corners of the actual fender and the plastic inner fenders as well and had no problem. Not noticeable either.

So just to be clear, should I expect the same outcome? Not sure of the differences between the 2nd and 3rd with regard to wheel and tire fitment.

Sorry didn't realize you have a 3rd gen, I'm not sure. But I think you should expect that at worst. Its minimal trimming and very easy to do. Maybe the 3rd gen has a bigger wheel well opening? Im not sure. But thats generally the right tire size for a 2.5 or 3" lift. Maybe some third gen guys can chime in

If you offroad and flex the suspension you will rub. If you just daily drive it you should be good. You can always have your alignment shop move the caster all the way forward to help it out a little.

Beautiful rims. I have a set in gunmetal expected to get here this Thursday. Unfortunately, I need to wait until I get the ICON stage 4 before I even know which tires to mount onto them...

Such a tease, on the other hand, more so motivation to get the parts you need to put on. The wait will be well worth it, that's for sure. Come on FRIDAY!!:bananadance:
