So the rest of my suspension is on. Also, the Dex8 wing. So the Typhon is pretty dialed in now. I still need to upgrade the servo but other than that, this thing is pretty much able to hang with any of the 1/8 buggies at my track.

Took a chance on some cheap "steel alloy" axle housings for my wraith. At $23 each, I couldn't pass them up.

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01JLV2WZE/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1504142056&sr=8-2&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=xtra+speed+ar60+axles&dpPl=1&dpID=41E1ZQ+vmfL&ref=plSrch

They were delivered today and I installed them when I got home. Was pleasantly surprised at how heavy they are. They feel like they are made of pot metal, but the fit and finish is superb. Everything bolted right up, bearings slid right in, and I was able to use my beef tubes in them. I have no idea how sturdy they are, but the reviews I have found have been positive. Hoping to give them a workout this weekend.

Looks like they make them for the SCX10 as well, so I may buy some for my dad.

Edit: I also forgot to mention that they are quite heavy.

Just installed aluminum links and a new servo/servo horn on my girlfriends Bomber and now when turning it's getting binded and clicking real bad. Too much steering now?

Where's it binding and clicking? Drive cups on the axle? Is the drive shaft angle geometry still good?

Go for it. I just ordered one of these for mine...or build another. The Charger body I posted a few pages back came in and they had shipped it in a bag wrapped in sheet foam. It was crushed pretty good. I complained and they're sending another but in a box this time. So I got to playing with my heat gun and actually got most of the white creases out. I was getting overeager and eventually melted a door. But I kept practicing and surprised myself. If it wasn't for the door melted it would be presentable painted and hacked up as a crawler or rally type body.

Drive shaft angle is still spot on. The new servo evidently has a way larger steering angle than the stock one. So I toned it down and it seems fine. It was binding where the axle meets the steering knuckle.

The RTR has the dogbones and cups. I scored a set of Axial unis way back on fleaBay for literally $14 I think it was. I figured they were knockoffs but can in unopened Axial parts bag. I have Wraith with china knockoffs and they held up to moderate crawling quite well. Get rid of the stock axle shafts and you can turn the end points back out.
