Well, no diff leak, but looks like I got a tranny leak

    there cannot be any damage done to the transfer case unless it was engaged into 4 wheel drive at some point. did the dealer tell you exactly why and where the transfer case is leaking it might just be leaking out of the fill/drain plug gasket which is very easy to replace.

    It's less Tacoma and more mod
    Nah it'll be fine, not too much going on if you weren't in 4x4. The little pump just keeps the input bearing lubed

    Incorrect. Toyota transfer gear oil is sold in 1 liter cans, not quarts.

    It hasn't gone into 4 wheel any time recently so on that front should be ok. As for where it's leaking he didn't mention (service advisor), but tbh he didn't really seem to know jack so not surprised. From what I could see the origin was definitely the lower portion of the transfer case

    Same problem here within 100 miles of using the truck! Engaged 4wd a few times in the yard just to get a feel for the fancy buttons and would you know a few days later noticed some oil drops on the t-case skid plate! Come to find out it was the output shaft seal going to front dif
