    Jesus man.

We had a whole ordeal about going to CiCi's for Dave's birthday.

So I was asking where one was that is "central" for everybody.

I don't recall the CiCi's conversation...my bad. Uh...I'm going to vote the one in Orlando, Florida. Is that far enough South for you Bhammers to believe it's central?

Nice Timber Rattler. Killed one of those about 6 years ago. Our German Shepherd was a puppy at the time and the rattler b-lined straight for him on our back patio.
Sorry for the bad quality. Cell phone photo capability has come a long way in 6 years. Killed this one with a Walther P22

I'm not sure if I just haven't seen one, or if my dogs have kept them at bay....but so far 0 snakes in my yard. I believe it's because I have no water near me, but my yard is an absolute jungle I would think I would see one...I mean I've had turtles lol

I'm sure they are there. We have a small pond that looks like a snake haven. Wife has seen a copperhead and we both saw the Timber Rattler. Those are the only poisonous snakes we have SEEN. I'm sure there are more but we do have a huge king snake that lives in the corner of the front yard. Wife saw it the other day. He apparently is doing a good job of keeping out the bad demons with no legs. About 2 years ago she found a baby king snake in the garage. Picked it up and took it to the front corner of the yard. I wonder, I just wonder if this is the same one. Would be cool if it is.

that would be cool if it's the same one. I don't have enough knowledge of snakes to want to keep any around though.

I feel bad about killing the Timber Rattler. I'm sure he did a good job of keeping down the field mice and chipmunk population. But he was going straight towards a thousand dollar puppy and, well, you can't have that. It's easy to spot a pit viper. 5 pit viper species in Alabama.

The only other poisonous snake in Alabama is the coral snake. This is according to Outdoor Alabama. BLACK ON YELLA WILL KILL A FELLA. Red on black is a friendly jack.

Unless some asshole released a king cobra, these are the only ones to watch out for.

I am not a herpetologist. I'm just really good on google haha.

If I am close enough to see the eyes of a snake, that sumbitch is dead.

This is why mankind doesn't deserve this planet.

Not to mention if you're close enough to see its eyes, it knows you are there and you are a threat. And you will be dealt with with haste. lol

negative, this is just why you don't get close enough to snakes. I've killed a total of 2 in my life lol, both copperheads.

I wish every venomous snake was a rattle snake, and I almost wish every snake was; at least they will let you know that you are getting to close to em. I killed 4 cotton mouths 2 memorial days ago when me and my dad an sister tried to go fishing at a beaver dam in bank head. we were there for 15 mins and never wet a hook. almost stepped on 2 of them bastards, and the 2nd one I killed came across the pond at us after I shot the first one. snakes that don't run from you when they know you are there are bad business

Nah you can see the head from a safe distance. Like the photo I posted yesterday. I was pretty certain it was poisonous I just didn't know what kind. That triangle head is a dead give away.

Liz wants to get a ball python or some kind of other snake.

I would be cool with it if we didn't have to feed it mice...

Can't there be a vegan snake?
