    I have a 2017 Tacoma. Just say a great deal for a new bed extender on Craigslist. He says it's for a 2017. Is there a way to be sure it's not for a second generation? I'm bringing my truck to pick it up so is it as easy as putting it where it goes to see if it fits right?

    Shit bolted onto other shit, and junk.
    I thought the beds were the same...or at least the width where the Extender mounts. I would take a measuring tape as well if I were you.

    There was no change in bed width. Took the extender out of my 2014 and transferred it to my 2017 with no problem.
