For sale is my 2012 TRD Sport Upgrade Package Super White Double Cab Short Bed 4x4 with automatic transmission. Purchased new by me in October 2011. Title in hand. Current mileage is 92K and counting. (The “Upgrade” version added the 18” chrome clad wheels many love to hate which in following years 2nd gens became the Limited wheels.)

    Summary of mods:

    - Weathertech side window deflectors.
    - Volant Cold Air Intake plus ram air scoop and custom etched acrylic TRD cover by member @Coupe
    - White TRD powdercoated battery hold-down from member @Coupe
    - Lifetime Powercore air filter for Volant plus pre-filter
    - Fab Fours Front bumper
    - Fab Fours Rear bumper
    - Inalfa 925 Power sunroof with trim ring for ribbed roof (gets cleaned and lubricated yearly and vent tubes blown out, no leaks)
    - Katzkin two tone gray and black leather seats with contrast stitching, perforated with TRD logo on headrest plus heat, switches in center console
    - Toyota OEM Roof Rack
    - Toyota OEM Bed Mat
    - Access brand soft tonneau cover
    - Weathertech floor liners
    - Warn winch
    - TRD Supercharger
    - Icon Stage 5 suspension w/tubular UCAs
    - Spidertrax 1.25" wheel adaptors
    - Retrofit FX-R 3” Projector headlights with LED halo, new OEM housing, Apollo 3.0 shroud in flat black, flat black bezel and bowl, DTRL and corner bowls left chrome, smoked orange reflector, Morimoto harness and 35W ballasts + FJ dash switch. OSRAM bulbs plus CBI Nightbreakers too. Built by @ambiguous
    - Interior LED light kit and backup light replacement from @csjumper2003
    - Interior LED light kit above AC controls from Flyzeye Designs
    - LED bed lights from @mattgecko
    - Toyota OEM tube steps.
    - TRD Exhaust
    - OEM mud flaps delete
    - TRD Skid Plate (modified to fit front bumper)
    - Toyota OEM bug guard
    - Maglite flashlight mount on driver seat
    - Salex center console organizer and glovebox
    - Hi-Lift jack with bed mount, bumper hook and neoprene cover
    - TRD shift knob
    - stubby antenna (terrible reception, but looks cool), OEM included
    - Thinkware x500 front and rear facing hard wired dash cam
    - ScanGauge 2 with clip mount to headliner and wire tuck by drivers side visor
    - Lifetime alignment from Firestone, transferrable
    - BFG KO2’s 275/65/18 purchased at 55K

I’ve spent over 18K in mods and enjoyed every minute of them, especially the heated leather and sunroof.

Truck comes with remainder of Toyota Platinum Warranty until 100K or 6 years.

    Service highlights:
    - Full synthetic oil change and filter every 5K at either dealer or Valvoline (Mobil 1 or Valvoline Syntec MaxLife oil)
    - Both diffs and transfer case fluid changed every 15K
    - This truck had the secondary air pump go out like many other 2012’s. Replaced under warranty at 66K ($1,700 right there paid for the warranty)
    - Fuel door and hinge replaced under warranty
    - One of the rear seat belts replaced under warranty, would not retract
    - New S/C belt within last 2K with new hoses, pulleys and tensioners along full path of the belt. This is the first time the belt has been replaced as S/C was put on at 12K. Coolant replaced with new Toyota OEM fluid.
    - New charcoal cannister above gas tank, under warranty
    - New drivers side hub and wheel bearing replaced less than 3K ago by dealer, under warranty. The passenger side sounds fine, but they would not replace both, but had to ask.
    - Front brake pads done at 75K
    - All new tie rods ends, ball joints, LCA hardware

    What is wrong with it?
    - The winch just clicks when you engage it. I don’t know what is wrong with it. I’ve used it maybe 5 times. It’s a mall crawler, ok :)

This truck lives in Ohio. I have an unlimited automated car wash pass and go through it regularly in the winter for the underbody rinse.

This truck has a story, it got rear-ended and noted on CarFax. I have a copy. Over 18K in repairs including new frame and many other components. Here is a link to the video plus written and picture documentation of the repair:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/rear-ended-w-steel-bumper-a-story-of-redemption.485368/

I've put over 3K miles on it since getting it back and it drives like new.

Why am I selling? I’ll be buying a 2017 or 2018 in December and do this all over again. This is my 6th Tacoma/Toyota truck. I was planning on getting a new truck well before the kid rear ended me, just wanted to wait a couple years on the 3rd gen.

My opinion, there are at least two ways a potential buyer could look at this truck:
    1) What? It’s been wrecked! Moving on to the next for sale ad…
    2) Wow! brand new frame, brand new front end components, tons of upgrades, one owner, KBro2's, Icon lift, all the receipts, preventative maintenance at the dealer. It’s like a new truck. Long live the 2nd gen.:hattip:

    Here is my build thread:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/clone-trooper-build.205303/

I’m asking $25,000/OBO. 2” thick folder of all receipts since new. No part outs….yet. Thanks for looking!

Nice truck! I'm curious, what was the change in MPG after supercharger installed?

I'd get as high as 20, but post S/C install were steel bumpers and E load tires. That dropped mileage closer to 18.
