Cooper Discoverer H/T tires are what is on my used 2002 4WD Tacoma. They're just shy of 3 years old, tread is very good, not sure how many miles.

One of them seems to have a crack in the sidewall along the edge of a printed section. I'll say mnfr defect, tire shop said hem, haw, distraction... They don't want to deal with sending it back to see what happens. I don't want to buy 1 new tire - if one went bad IMO the others will be going bad soon too. But I'm not ready to spend on 5 new tires yet. So...

I'm thinking of asking the shop to put an inner tube in the tire. Make sense?

I assume that would work. Any issues with doing that? At this point just running around town in the truck.

Thoughts, experiences, is this something that is "done"?
    Thanks
