Why Toyota!!! Keyless unlock = stupid. 2017 tacoma

Lazy is all I can think if when I read this. How much of a hassle it must be to dig way down deep in your pocket and then spend forever looking for the unlock button to hit, it must be such and inconvenience. First world problems!

 

The Off Road puts those extra controls where the Sport has the sunglass holder compartment.

keyless entry? I can't believe they put doors on my truck! I shouldnt have to reach out with my hand and Open a door to get into my vehicle. It's just to much work.

 

Nope. My 2013 BMW has this on both front doors but the range is so precise that if I'm standing at the drivers door, the passenger door can't be unlocked by touch and vice versa. I tried it with my wife for exactly this reason.

 

My 2017 Tacoma was built in Mexico.

The LandCruiser has it on all 4 doors and the rear hatch. You can set it to unlock all or just the drivers. So convenient (but comes at a price of course)

Dude if you stick with her long enough you'll outgrow that stage. It's true. But ya kinda cheap by Toyota. Same gripe with auto up/down power windows all around, but then again its a truck at heart.

 

I just hit the remote unlock and grab the handle. I mean if it was an option and you didn't mind blowing what I'm sure would be another +$800 in a package, sure why not.

But my two taps of a button with one hand while my hand is on the handle works just fine for me and my woman.

I'll trade your locks for convenience and bitch how the hell are trucks still not coming with window reflectors from the factory?????

 

On my Merc, If i let her in first, it keeps the drivers door locked, when i get close to the drivers door it unlocks once it knows i am there, so i just get in and we go!..... I just wish toyota went the extra step.... Love the truck tho, cant wait to cut off its IFS!

 

My car doesn't even have Keyless Entry, if I decide to take a lady in it gotta use the key to let her in, no big deal.
