So who's near madison that wants to let me crash at their place for two nights. Left louisiana early so I didn't get caught in any flooding. Move into my new apt the 1st in portage.

    Howdy yall,
Hope everyone is staying cool during this hot stretch. This is my first time posting here and I have a few questions. 1st question, i'm curious what y'all are doing and have done to prepare your trucks for the winter with regards to rust prevention? 2nd question, I have some paint that has been chipped away on my fenders, I assume because I took my mud flaps off. Can anyone recommend a shop in or around the Madison area that could help me repair said chips? 3rd. Besides putting mud flaps back on what would y'all do to prevent further chipping on the fenders? Any and all help appreciated.

    Cheers!

    Hey,
Thanks for the reply. Never heard of the stuff before but just searching "fluid film" lead me to a lot of useful posts about rust prevention. For some reason I wasn't happy with the threads I was finding before.

Ditto. can be PITA to re-apply a couple times a year but its the best protection for your vehicle.

Anyone in Wisconsin has got a fluid film spray gun? or some sort that I can borrow; Bought a gallon of fluid film and need to apply it, not really feeling like getting the spray gun and attachments unless I reallly have to.

I was thinking about hosting a FF day in October or early November. I can supply the applicator gun and compressed air, BYOFF, BYOB. I'm just north of Madison. Let me know if there is any interest.

I'm definitely interested in a fluid film day, my first winter in Wisconsin and definitely want to make sure I protect the truck from this horrible salt.
