I just purchased a 2017 Tacoma TRD Off Road with the new ECT Automatic Trans.

I understand from several folks that the WS (World Standard) ATF is a bit sketchy and is NOT a synthetic.

I have always used Amsoil Signature Series ATF in all of my automatics and have had great service with it.

I was wondering if anyone has used anything other than WS in the new 6 speed automatic and or if anyone knows if the Amsoil would be ok to run?

Thank You and I am glad to be here aminst fellow Tacoma owners,

    Mangrove

Consider leaving what you have alone until the warranty period is over.

While the mechanicals of the transmissions do not seem to be failing yet, you may not want to offer any 'excuses' for a voided warranty.

The most important thing is to make sure the tranny IS actually full of WS.
Don't rely on the dealer's computer to tell ya "it's full".... A physical check IS required.!!
