Northern Virginia Roll Call

2 months after I bought my truck a Toyota tech told me they had already replaced a trans in one. And that was in Jan of 2016.

I knew there'd be issues. I guess I just got a good one.

 

Argh. I'm having trouble deciding what color SCS F5's I want to get. Torn between Gunmetal and Black. I kinda like how my stock wheels look with the MGM color. But I also want some hints of black to go with my sliders and to go with my stealth stock look.

Decisions decisions ...

 

I have a mgm and my plan is gunmetal.

So, yeah

 

I'm more of a "basic white girl" kinda guy....

whew. i'm fucking beat. I got the garage cleaned out today! so we are officially ready for mod day! now I just have to cut the lock off the toolbox, and then get my tools put away / organized and we'll be in the money.


side note: I found a random box that the people from Hawaii had mislabeled that we never unpacked.... found ALL of my missing tools that I had thought I lost (my heat gun, a bunch of random small but useful tools)

This thing is cool as hell.

 

Well, they have been on since march of 2016, i think. I usually drive about 12k a year, so i would guess around or less than 20k. I plan on taking measurements with my tire gauge so i can give an accurate percentage of tread left. But the lugs have lots of meat left on them.

 

I got my sparkr from the kickstarter yesterday. I was running around looking for old receipts to light on fire just to try it out. Hopefully i didnt burn anything important.

Today's free mod!!!

I found my stock shift knob off my 3rd gen.... it screws on perfectly!!!! I just ground off the little plastic tabs at the bottom so they are flat... I'm happy with it!

 

Man... You've been busy.

The rain let up after lunch long enough to drag the bumper out and touch up the powdercoat issues. I took off the fog lights to avoid over spray, so I'll remount them tomorrow and see how the winch fits.
