Sorry for the minor derail, but where did you get your flag? May I assume they're a matched left and right set?

You are right in that it is factory preset for 1" of lift, but equates to 2" inches of thread.

My measurement was off... Took it right when the truck came down from the lift. I measured about an hour ago and its at 23.5" in the front and 24" in the rear. I have sent an email to Fox to ask about about the 2.9" thread setting as I still feel like it looks higher than most settings I have seen around the message boards. Driving home the ride was good and not as stiff as I expected. If anything it felt more like a truck. I'm running on my stock wheels and tires until Tuesday when I put on Matte Gray TRD Pro wheels with 255/75/17 KO2s.

This looks similar to my setting if you account for my lacking a reservoir.

Yeah. I have mine set a little higher than yours. But that is what gets it level. Not sure what rear setup you're using but my 3 leaf aal with overload gets the trucks rear really high so matching that is tough. But I don't do any serious off roading, using UCA's, my ride is great, CV's angles are just right and the truck looks perfect so I'm pleased.

Looks like you got it almost where you want it. You'll just do some minor tweaking I'm sure later on. Truck looks good. Post some more pics when you get the wheels / tires on.

How much lift did you get in the rear with the overload in?

I'm at 24" in the rear...not sure what that is over stock. I believe it was the full 2"

So cranking up the driver side 3/4" and passenger side 1/2" from otb configuration will give me a 1" factory rake (after settling)?

Spoke to Fox today and was told to go off the comparison of prelift measurements to measurements after the install. He said that thread count isn't a consistently accurate way to measure how much lift the coil-overs provide. Told him I had about 3" of thread showing and he said I should be good. Asked about the possibility of coil binding before full compression and I was told that I shouldn't worry about that. Without any additional weight on the front, as long as I stay below the 3" range the coil-over will perform as designed.

Unfortunately some 19 year old kid in a Grand Cherokee traveling in the opposite lane of traffic crossed the double line and hit me head on. He was texting and driving. My taco is totalled. IMG_6523.jpg

I'm banged up and bruised but no broken bones or fractures. Was on the way to put in the tires and wheels I got. This Tacoma saved my life though. I was driving somewhere between 40-45 mph. No clue how fast the kid was going but he didn't brake at all. I whipped the steering at the last minute to avoid a full head on collision.

What a horribly inconvenient time to have an accident. On the bright side, you could wait for the rumored new colors/leather options on the 2018 tacos and get a beater until then. And if there were any mods you wish you had done a different way you can start over!

Trying to look at the bright side cause that accident looks horrible :(

Yeah that's seams like too much, I'm at 2" of threads with a 1/4" spacer on the drivers side and gives me around 2 1/2" of up travel and around 3" of lift...

If you are trying to go fast I would lower it down...

I don't think some people actually read the threads sometimes, they just look at the pictures...
