Anyone know if i can use FJ front differential in my prerunner?

Update...

The guy had already accepted payment for the rear axle and front differencial. I got some of the other random parts like spindles, drive shaft, etc. I have not started yet, trying to get everything sorted out first. Has anyone done an FJ T-case swap? How did you cleanly make a hole for the stick on the T-case?

 

Several people have done the FJ transfer case swap. There's several threads that document the swap. One of the biggest problems to overcome is that the transfer case shifter occupies the same real estate as the floor mounted auto trans shifter. I'm using an FJ 1GR-FE (Japanese made, VIN starts with J) with original matching FJ transmission and T-case. Has anyone thought about or tried or did install an FJ center console and linkage in a Tacoma? Would it fit?
