I’ve got a squeaky front end. Seems to be coming from the drivers side, definitely up front and not the rear leaf. Now idea where to start looking for a fix, really hoping it’s not going to require new shocks. The shocks have probably 60,000 miles on them, maybe more (5100s at the .85 setting, oem springs)

Here’s a YouTube vid with me just hitting the brakes, won’t squeak just jumping on it.

Also, in case I need front shocks, is there anything better for the price than 5100s?
I was considering the Rancho preassembled ones.

To add to the oddness, the noise only happens when the wheels are straight. What part of the front suspension would only squeak when the wheels are straight?

Not sure the noise is similar but check the sway bar bushings. I had a weird noise from the front end and it went away after changing them.

Spray some wd40 on suspension parts (uca bushings, shock bolt, sway bar, lca bushings). Do this one at a time start from the bottom and work your way up. (Spray jump on it, spray jump on it) this way you can tell where it is col mong from and eliminate where its not.

I’ve sprayed everything I could think of that moves, nothing changed until today. It rained pretty hard today and after driving around in it the squeak is now gone. I’ll be interested to see how long it takes to come back, assuming it does come back.

    Sounds like dry bushings
