We can always go camping at pyramid for the night? Opens Oct 1st. I have two fly rods and don't mind switching to show people how to cast.

How much are camping permits there and fishing permits? I was out there last weekend just checking it out but didn't stop to see how much the permits cost.

Found a rock that looked like the nearby mountains.

Not my 4runner stuck in the sand on the waters edge.

Sweet. I just saw signs at every dirt road headed down to the lake that fishing and camping permits are required. :notsure: Don't want to get busted by some Indians on tribal land.

Where do you normally camp out there?

Made it out to white rock lake was so nice. I tried a few trails nothing crazy just some rough dirt roads. Finally found where I needed to go. I wanted to explore so I just kinda went down some trails on my map first. After some exploring I has to turn around and go an other way to get to the lake. Was worth the trip out for sure.

So nice, I'll definitely take my fishing rods next time. Yeah you did, that spot was taken when I got there so I went further down and found a small spot between two other camps.

Anybody ever heard of rotopax puncturing its self and leaking??? It was hot yesterday day in the high 90's/low 100's and it looked like the rotopax swelled up and the lock holding it on actually punctured the gas can at the lower point. I was not off roaring at all. It has been parked for the last 3 days.[IMG][IMG][IMG]
Had neighbors out ready to call the fire department and all the little kids on their razors gawking.

My 4 gallon ruptured too...but I think mine was from a defect (small pit near one of the handles). Send rotopax some pics hopefully they'll replace it. Their instructions do say to vent them whenever there is a temp swing.

Yeah I saw that on their site "PLEASE REMEMBER TO VENT THE FUEL PACK ONCE PER DAY IF THE ELEVATION OR TEMPERATURE CHANGES SIGNIFICANTLY." Too bad I left the house at 7am while it was still cool. Need to retrofit an auto vent or something. Doing that will make it non C.A.R.B. compliant, but it will save it from dumping 3 gals of fuel on the ground. :notsure:

Maybe just fill it when you need the extra fuel and top your truck off with it if you don't use it?

I would have but some crazy neighbor lady was staring me down with her phone in her hand ready to call someone. Had to get some simple green to scrub it down before they went back inside. I hate living in an apartment. There is still a pretty good mark where the gas ate the asphalt. Ha. Oh well. Now that's my spot.
