Hit 1000 on the way home from work last night.
    Overall I'm still very pleased.
Rides comfortable, which is a plus when you drive 40 miles one way to work.
Don't really get all the complaints about lack of power or the bad shifting pattern, I don't see it.
Drive a 2017 Expedition at work and my truck has better responsiveness and shifting than it does.
Hardly have to get on the gas and I'm rolling down the road at 90.

Not made any upgrades yet however have Husky floor liners and G-Tek door sill protectors on the way. Need a sunshade to keep the interior cool too.

Next big purchase will probably be a hard folding cover and then some sliders.

Welcome to TW same here I pulled a 10 foot trailer yesterday with a 700 pound ATV 200 hundred miles and couldn't even tell it was behind me my transmission shifts perfectly I can't imagine it doing any better, when I was going up a hill and I wanted to pass I would drop down a gear maybe two depending how much I got on it and right back to 6 gear when leveling out the only thing I could tell was I went from 21 MPG to 16 MPG pulling the trailer I never have experience any shifting back and forth when I had my GMC Z 71 it would shift about the same amount so far I'm very pleased with my TACO no major issues at all I always regret hearing about all the other issues with new TACO's but it's good information for the rest of us I'm sure there's lots of Tacoma owners with zero issues and some with minor issues and a few with major issues just like what happens to all the other makes and models of vehicles in the industry today.

Put a year or two and 20k or 30k miles on it. A lot of issues did not crop up on mine until after 11k miles

Uh oh, I'm at 11,500. I have been feeling buzzing like vibes in the steering wheel lately. I need to narrow it down so I can easily re create it for the service advisor at the 15K service.

Now its 20k to 30K miles. At first it was initial build quality, cps, howling holes, transmission etc etc etc. This keeps getting better all the time.
There was someone here with 90k yesterday, zero issues.
You were complaining since day one, and then you put on a $2500 lift a year later.

Man, I'm not trying to be a jerk, but why are you still here? You had an awful experience with yours, and that really sucks, but the majority of us don't. I love my truck. And you are such a Debbie downer. For someone who hates their tacoma so much, you sure do spend a lot of time on a tacoma forum.

Only people who have good experiences can be Tacoma World members and discuss the truck? Oh. Ok.

Not necessarily, but recognizing that you got a lemon would go a long way and perhaps keep you from tainting other people's experience. You got a bad truck. Most others didn't. It's depressing shit like "I didn't start having issues until 11k miles" that makes people start worrying about their truck instead of enjoying it.

Your own anxiety and paranoia is caused by others having issues?

Look, do whatever you want. There are many members on here that just block you. I, for one, would hate to be considered the "Debbie downer" of a group but hey, whatever floats your boat.

    Peace.

like most of these folks who say they are disappointed with their 3rd gens their timelines and facts when and where the problems began are all over the map nothing is pinned down every post theres a different time frame kinda of like making things up as they go, yet they still own the truck with its multitude of issues really makes no sense.

And you are correct...my feeling may change at 20K, I could have a ton of issues shake loose tomorrow, or be good for 150K. Its a gamble.

My wife's new Outback had its Nav/Radio fry after we had the car for less than a month, but we bought it from a good dealer who took care of us, and we drove the crap out of their brand new loaner they gave us with 12 miles on it.
