So I attempted to dip my cheese grater grille yesterday for the first time, the first 3 coats went on easy, but by about the last coat some areas of the dip appear un-even or wet looking [blotchy], not sure how to fix this, anyone with better experience please chime in. Should I peel it all off, start over or should I remove the grille and apply at least 2 more coats to hide the imperfection of the dip?

    All the things!
Are you letting the coats dry in between? From what I understand, you're not supposed to let the coats dry, unlike normal spray paint jobs. There's tons of deep videos on YouTube for tips and tricks.

    peel it off then,

    1. Clean nozzle between every coat, and empty nozzle by turning can upside down and spraying til it stops.
    2. Keep can in hot water between coats.
    3. wait 15 minutes between coats.

doing all those things have led to flawless application on all my projects.

I was waiting 15 min between coats and spraying can upside/cleaning nozzle, I did not keep can in hot water though, I didn't think that was necessary seeing is how I live in South West Florida, it was very humid yesterday in my garage. Maybe I'll start all over once I get the chance again. Thanks for the pointers.

Can upside down between coats seems to yield best results.
