Rc led switch issues

Having issues with a rough country light bar switch.
Can anyone tell me how the blue lights on the toggle switch would just come on even when the ground is not connected? It hasn't been on for over a year then all of a sudden it turns on this morning.

 

Have you double checked the switch wiring for bad connections, etc.? If the ground wire is unterminated did it inadvertently touch the chassis?

 

No way it grounded i used heat shrinks to cover the ground and everything is plastic. Ive removed the wires from the switch for a day now then when i got back home i connected it back the way i had it before and so far the light hasn't came back on. The only think i can think of maybe moister had a hand. I sent rough country a message asking them. Also looking at the wiring diagram it's different than the switch.
