I'm looking to buy specifically a 2013-2015 double cab long bed 4x4. I see a few SR5 and TRD Sports, but nothing for TRD Off-Road. Was it just not available as a configuration from Toyota or do I just need to wait for one to pop up?

Not made. 3rd Gen it was available, but for 2nd gens it's dcsb or access cab. Access cab only for us north of the border.

So Canada only had OR's in Access cab config only?

In a second Gen, yes. We just got the double cab offered up here for 2017, and that's a short bed only and automatic transmission.
We can however get an access cab trd off road with a 6speed manual transmission.3rd Gen) Which I think is not available in the USA. Also all trd off roads (3rd Gen) in an access cab have chrome rear bumpers and all double cab off roads get a colour matched rear bumper.
Also our limited (3rd Gen) have trd sport wheels, not the limited wheels offered in the USA. And they are dclb, unlike the dcsb in the USA. Toyota is weird.

Maybe Toyota's market research says the majority of US drivers don't/can't drive a manual?

Thanks everyone. It's going to have to be a TRD Sport :)

Would love to have a DCLB limited.

Good luck in your search. The DCLB Limited has got to be one of the harder configurations to find. I stumbled across mine a year and a half ago.

After having worked at a U-Haul corporate moving center for almost a decade... I agree the majority of US drivers can't drive a manual.

In reference to what I was posting I was talking 3rd gens. 95% of 2nd Gen tacomas here seem to be dclb trd sports (short bed =manual trans)

Interesting. DCSB TRD OR is the most common here in Montana from what I've seen. But there are a number of DCLB SR5, DCLB Sports, and a handful of DCLB Limiteds.

I went SR5 long bed. More functional and I put ARB lockers in.

Dclb would be my choice as well if I was buying new(er) couldn't pass up the deal on my ac trd off road though.

It's weird how toyota had so many differences on the tacoma between neighbouring countries on the same continent

On top of this, the TRD Sport comes with the "extra leaf" (I think 3 total?) on the leaf springs. The TRD Off Road only has 2 leafs for easier articulation while rock-crawling.
