In full disclosure this actually happened with my fiance's '15 CRV but if my hypothesis is correct it could theoretically happen to fellow taco owners so thought it was still worthwhile to post. Mostly curious if anyone has any thoughts about if they think my initial diagnoses is on the right track.

So she calls me to come jump her car because her car won't start. Starter cranked, radio/lights would not work, and she thinks her battery is dead. Jumps off no problem. At this point she's very low on gas and light comes on shortly thereafter. This ended up happening 3 times throughout the day where she'd have to jump it every single time she started vehicle (yes she's stubborn! :D). Her last errand was to fill up her tank. Since then, vehicle has been operating completely normal.

My thought is that the battery itself is weak and will soon need to be replaced and was providing inadequate voltage to the fuel pump and therefore couldn't provide enough power for the pump to overcome any air that was coming through from the near-empty tank. So weak but not dead battery + empty tank = fuel pump issue on start. Hopefully remedied by replacing battery and NOT having to prematurely replace fuel pump...unless she keeps driving around on E all day! Anyone agree/disagree??

Not knowing what a CRV even is or what kind of engine it might have .

Once the System voltage drops below a certain voltage most computers go into a hibernation mode to protect themselves .

At this point ignition and fuel are shutoff .

Attach your booster system voltage comes up above the threshold Computer wakes up your good to go till the engine is shut off

    Repeat till things are fixed
