Anyone ever have an Amazon order that automatically returned to sender? I have a ~$30 order, nothing crazy valuable, shipped to the same address I always use and with prime, and Amazon strung me on for a week with 'order shipping delay' notifications and then today, "Refused Shipment, on the way back", the reasons they list; doesn't fit PO box, wrong address, package damaged etc. What kind of sucks is its a list, I don't know what the actual reason is.

    Anyone ever have, "Refused Shipment"?

I had this happen on eBay with a small item, a Snap on socket.

    Item ships
Item travels over a thousand miles to my local post office.
Item does a u-turn and goes back to seller without a delivery attempt ever being made.

It gets better because the seller wouldn't communicate or bother to figure out what happened. Delivery confirmation shows it being delivered back to the seller's home and eBay tells me to get bent, no buyer protection. A charge back sorted that seller out.

I've never seen such a mess where it came from three different angles

At least Amazon assures there will be a refund- curious what happened, with the delays happening first, then the automatic return, I'm thinking a container or shipping truck was involved in an accident and when my actual mail was handled it was beat up to the point the delivery service just opted to have it returned- its just grey shorts and surefire EP3 ear plugs, nothing big or fragile...

So I re-ordered the two items, they shipped out same day or next day, and again, its being delayed (Prime, was supposed to arrive today and now the ETA was moved over two days). WTF Amazon?

Weird, so the second order of the same 2 things, even though delayed, did make it. The next order I put in after that had no issues- weird.

My experience with Amazon used to be awesome... Then I moved to a gated community. I had to quit ordering from Amazon. The "On-Trac" deliverers never even attempted to deliver. UPS always did, and most FedEx got through, but not a single On-Trac.

If I moved to a gated community or started to have boxes lifted from my porch I'd probably just start using the Amazon Locker spots because Amazon overall is just so convenient and I hate shopping- standing in lines, crowds, a wide array of rude, stupid and annoying people at various establishments and I always seem to pick the worst cashier line where some idiot has a million questions and somehow choose a bunch of items that are not scanable (seriously, I don't even try to gauge them anymore, I just get into a line now, 9 out of 10 times it the slowest)- I live in Los Angeles so just going to Trader Joes or Target on a regular day probably feels almost like shopping for supplies before a hurricane hits. Traveling to less crowded areas I don't mind going to brick and mortar spots, but here in LA it always feels a few small increments away from a riot.

Agreed, facing LA traffic is a different level of inconvenience.

Seriously, IMO it won't take much to trigger something here- look at the last LA riots and now its even more crowded and people are more polarized. I'm polarized. Watching clips from Texas, seeing rescue boats and a ton of residents turned volunteers, strapped with sidearms and its not big deal, just helping each other out but also not taking sh*t from dirtbags. LA is going to be a warzone, IMO best thing to do is shelter in place and have plenty of stores/prep.

    -end insane prepper rant haha.

Bought a bunch more stuff from Amazon, will see if there are any weird shipping issues again. Last round (didn't update this thread) the items were a day late, maybe they are getting pounded with orders, maybe its logistics getting pounded in Texas. But bless you Amazon- not having to go to a store to get shorts, ear plugs etc, I love it. At first I shopped via Amazon because of the reviews you can read and the pricing was usually great, but now even if its cheaper at a brick and mortar, still going to use Amazon.
